The english language
The english language is typically classified as "a west-germanic language",
alongside the german, dutch, and frisian languages (which are
true west-germanic languages), but it is not one.
The truth is that the english language is a germanic-latinoid creole.
Specificly, it is a creole between saxon west-germanic, british latin,
anglish west-germanic, old danish norse, and norman proto-french.
It is the most creolized language in Europe.
The english language contains more latinoid ("romance") words than germanic words,
such as "grand", "color", "mischief", "proud", "surface", "beef", "foreign", and "stew", among others,
and consequently it is easier for a nativ english-speaker to learn a latinoid language
than to learn a true germanic language.
The language-name "english" is named-after the northumbrian angles,
who were the culturally-dominant people of Britain prior to the first norse invasion
and the consequent domination by the saxons.
The english language is full of flaws,
the biggest of which are widespread non-phonetic spelling
and copious homonyms and homophones.
Other flaws include, but are not limited to,
non-standard plural nouns (e.g. "people"),
non-distinct plural nouns (e.g. "fish"),
and non-standard past-tense verbs (e.g. "went").
Due to such copious flaws in the english language,
english language reform is necessary.
