Spy-streetlights

Spy-streetlights are residential streetlights that hav ben harnessed by
a police or intelligence agency for spying purposes.
Streetlights usually do-not hav reflectiv shrouds which make them point
only downward tward the street, sidewalks, and adjacent parts of driveways,
while also using their light more efficiently.
Instead, their light shines broadly, between houses and into people's backyards.
That is by design, becuz police and intelligence agencies can use
that light for spying purposes upon targetted individuals.
Such streetlights are harnessed via mounting a well-concealed camera high upon them,
usually nextto the light itself, which givs the camera a high vantage-point,
and light that is shining directly upon the areas that the camera is spying-upon.
