Post-SRI syndrome
Post-SRI syndrome is a permanent neuropsychological condition
that is caused by the consumption of SRI-drugs,
and which afflicts an estimated 1 in 200 people who hav consumed such drugs.
It is often abbreviated as "PSS".
It is often called by the misnomer "post-SSRI syndrome",
but it can be caused by any type of SRI-drug, such as SNRIs, not just SSRIs.
PSS is characterized by some degree of general anhedonia, avolition, and fatigue,
and a greater degree of amorous anhedonia, psychological sexual anhedonia,
and physical sexual anhedonia in particular.
The severity of cases varies between individuals.
Menny people hav killed themselves becuz of it,
especially in the more-severe cases.
PSS occurs due to the permanent de-sensitization of
the 5-ht2a, 5-ht2b, and 5-ht2c receptors that are involved in
the brain's dopaminergic pleasure system,
as well as equivalent receptors that are located in
a sexual nucleus in the spinal cord.
