Feigning benign intent
Feigning benign intent is a psychopathic tactic that is used by
various intelligence agencies, companies, and individuals,
as a false pretense for perpetrating privacy-violating actions or other disruptive behaviors.
People who are deceived by claims of benign intent, flimsy though they are,
are much less likely to resist such actions.
False claims of benign intent are thus commonly employed in
javascript mandate letters, TLS-1.3 mandate letters, and Cloudflare mandate letters,
among many other things.
